Key Components
CAD / 3D Modeling
Software (Fusion 360) is used to make 3D models matching the part exactly.
Machining
Material is clamped into the CNC machine. The machine will cycle through the many tools used to cut away the material.
CAM / Toolpathing
Tools such as endmills and drills are simulated in the Software (Fusion 360). These will tell the machine how to move to make cuts into the starting materials.
Inspection
Measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and electronic touch probes are used to verify parts are made to customer specifications.
